Learn to skydive

After the first tandem skydive, most people are interested in learning how to skydive. The A license is the first license a skydiver achieves. This license is proof that the skydiver has completed their training and is qualified to jump without supervision.

Earning an A license is an exciting experience!

A skydiver with an A license has learned about all of the equipment, knows how to safely exit the aircraft, how to position their bodies in free fall, how to fly the parachute during their descent and landing, and what to do if things do not go as planned.

What are the requirements for a skydiving A license?

According to USPA standards:

  • A skydiver has to complete a minimum of 25 jumps.
  • Complete all requirements on the USPA A License Proficiency Card
  • Have their skydiving license stamped by a USPA certified instructor.
  • Pass the written and oral USPA exam.
